How to have a nice pdf export of a Google spreadsheet?

Use https://spreadsheets.google.com/feeds/download/spreadsheets/Export?key=spreadsheet_id&size= size &fzr=fzr&fitw=fit_to_page &portrait=page_layout&exportFormat=pdf &gid=worksheet_id&gridlines=gridlines

Note : These are undocumented and are unsupported. If these fail, you're out of luck.

size:
ex : size=legal/letter/A4

worksheet_id:
Which sheet to export (by number), e.g. 5. Not positional. If you delete Sheet1, the next sheet will be 2.
ex : gid=5

page_layout:
ex : portrait=true/false

fit_to_page:
ex : fitw=true/false

fzr:
Repeat header or frozen rows:
ex : fzr=true/false

gridlines:
display gridlines or not
ex : gridlines=true/false
